Seniors: Apply now for Timber Senior Housing!

Timber Senior Housing at 37660 Timber Street is now accepting applications.

Eden Housing is accepting applications for one-bedroom homes at the new Timber Senior Housing community at 37660 Timber Street, Newark.

Applications are due by September 26, 2025 at 5 pm.

Eden anticipates households will be able to move into their new homes as early as December 2025.

Eligibility requirements:

• Household income:

  • Minimum income of $2,692 per month

  • Maximum monthly income for a 1-person household: $4,663

  • Maximum monthly income for a 2-person household: $5,329

  • Maximum monthly income for a 3-person household: $4,996

• Section 8, including Housing Choice Vouchers and other recognized rental assistance programs will be considered

• Cats and small dogs are welcome

Application Fees:

• $35 per applicant

• $500 - $1,460 deposit

What to Expect:

If you applied to this property listing between August 18, 2025 and September 1, 2025, you may either reapply, using the options provided above, OR send an email to doorway@bayareametro.gov with answers to the following questions:

• Do you live in the city of Newark?

• Do you work in the city of Newark? 

Applicants will be contacted by the property agent in rank order until vacancies are filled. All of the information that you have provided will be verified and your eligibility confirmed. Your application will be removed from the waitlist if you have made any fraudulent statements. If we cannot verify a housing preference that you have claimed, you will not receive the preference but will not be otherwise penalized. Should your application be chosen, be prepared to fill out a more detailed application and provide required supporting documents.
