The Newark Gardens II senior housing community is accepting applications for its waitlist until March 20, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Newark Gardens II is a 50-home senior living community located at 35300 Cedar Boulevard, Newark.

Applications are due by March 20, 2026 at 5:00 pm.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Head of household must be 62 years or older at time of application.

  • Rent: Approximately 30% of income. Homes are subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

  • Minimum Yearly Income: No Minimum Income

  • Maximum Yearly Income:

    • 1 person: $55,950

    • 2 persons: $63,950

    • 3 persons: $71,950

What to Expect:

Paper applications will be available to pick up at 35300 Cedar Boulevard, Newark at the following times:

  • Friday, May 8, 2026: 9am – 5pm;

  • Tuesday, May 12, 2026: 9am – 5pm;

  • Friday, May 15, 2026: 9am – 5pm

Paper applications must be received by the manager’s office by May 20, 2026.

A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline. The top 400 applications will be placed on the waiting list for consideration.
